BSSF School Football Knockout Final Results

The Bermuda School Sports Federation [BSSF] hosted a weekend football tournament at the National Sports Centre from December 13, with 23 matches was scheduled to determine the champions of eight divisions.

Primary Girls: Elliot Primary 1 Saltus Grammar School 2

Saltus Grammar School got goals from Emily Hartwig and Morgan Rossiter in their 2 – 1 win over the Elliot Primary who got their lone goal from Jaden Masters. Koa Goodchild was voted MVP for Saltus Grammar School while Danni Watson was named MVP for Elliot Primary.

Middle School Girls: Saltus Grammar School 1 [6] Sandys Secondary Middle School 1 [5]

Saltus Grammar School won the title after defeating League Champions Sandys Secondary Middle School in a penalty shootout. Saltus grabbed a first half lead through MVP LeiLani Nesbeth, while Tae-Eja Bean scored for Sandys Secondary Middle School. Destini Edwards-Hill was the MVP for Sandys.

Primary School Boys: Paget Primary 3 St. George’s Preparatory 1

Paget Primary lifted the Trophy with a 3-1 win over St. George’s Preparatory. Paget got goals from MVP Jakeem Jennings, Shane Robinson and Joshua Joseph, while Danhem Minors scored the lone goal for the St. George’s Preparatory. Kaelan Paynter was the St. George’s Preparatory MVP.

Middle School Boy’s Under 13: Somersfield Academy 0 Sandys Secondary Middle School 4

Sandys Secondary Middle School recorded a 4 – 0 win over Somersfield Academy to win the League and Cup Double. Jeze Butterfield scored two for the Sandys Secondary Middle School, while Mical Dill and Tego Bean added a goal each. Yizharyah Williams was named MVP for Sandys Secondary Middle School while Seke Spence was named MVP for Somersfield Academy.

Senior School Boy’s Under 16: Berkeley Institute 8 Saltus Grammar School 0

The Berkeley Institute easily defeated Saltus Grammar School 8 – 0, Jaizel Smith and Jahzarde Samuels both scored two each, while Azende Furbert, Macquille Walker, Sage Paynter and Jason Simons got one each. Furbert was The Berkeley Institute MVP while Matthew Lampit was the Saltus Grammar School MVP.

Senior School Girls: CedarBridge Academy 1 The Berkeley Institute 0

The CedarBridge Academy would take the title in this Division with a 1 – 0 win over The Berkeley Institute with a goal from Deshae Darrell. K’Sheala Burch Waldron was the MVP for CedarBridge Academy, while Tiara Smith was The Berkeley Institute MVP.

Middle School Over 13 Boy’s: T.N. Tatem 1 [3] Whitney Institute 1 [4]

The Whitney Institute defeated T.N. Tatem 4 – 3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw. Janeiro Johnson gave Whitney Institute the lead in the first half before Jaheim Iris drew T.N. Tatem level. Chaki Zuill was MVP for Whitney Institute while Jahkeylo Burgess was MVP for T.N. Tatem.

Senior School Boy’s Over 16: The Berkeley Institute 3 Warwick Academy 2

The Berkeley Institute scored with the last kick in the match to defeat Warwick Academy 3-2. The Berkeley Institute took a 2-0 lead through Jah-Mair Lewis Trott and JahnaZae Swan. Warwick came storming back with goals from Seth Somner and MVP Lewis Daley. Yuhni Durham then settled matters with a goal in the dying minutes. Jahtino Richardson Martin was The Berkeley Institute MVP.
