  1. Kangoocar says:

Thank you Min Fahy, I knew you would not let us down!!! Once this is completed, can you get cabinet to push through legislation that will oust them and then we can have open an honest elections for a reputable COH team??? Can we please rid ourselves of this plp hand picked team and put a reputable team back in place???

  2. Kangoocar says:

The plp NIGHT MAYOR never seems to end??? We keep paying and paying and paying for their incompetence!!!!

    • OMG says:

SERIOUSLY! How is this a PLP problem.?!?!!!

OMG!!! Do you hate the party and it’s members that much that any problem that crops up will be their fault.

OBA have been in power for 1 year at some point the blame has to stop and they have to start owning something.

      • CBA says:

I’m not sure how this is a plp problem, but one thing, whether you agree with the oba or not, they are getting things done quickly in this first year! Equal basic human rights, legalization of alcohol on Sundays, gambling, etc…and that’s only year one!

      • Kangoocar says:

Your type of thinking is exactly why The plp were allowed to destroy this island economically!! What part of the plp hand picking this night mayor team did you miss? If you had actually paid attention to what the plp were doing when in power, you would not be blaming the OBA today for our economic woes!!! GEEEZ LOIEEEEZZZZZ?????? FYI, Obama 6 hrs later is still blaming Bush??? I guess that is ok being it is him right????

        • aceboy says:

Yup, their memories are very short. The PLP were the ones who were trying to dissolve the Corporation and who, as you said, hand picked the leadership of the Corporation after ensuring the business vote was taken away. This gave Team Hamilton their win…some 250 votes to about 100. Had the PLP won the election in 2012 Hamilton would have been doomed to redevelopment “PLP style”.

          • Agree says:

And UBP before it was OBA messed up the school system so …

            • Sandgrownan says:

Ah..selective memory. The “committee” that created the mess was indeed headed by Gerald Simmons, but it was cross party. Dame Jennifer, the great educator and Champagne guzzler was on that decision process.

Plenty of blame to go around on that one.

              • LOL (original TM*) says:

Don’t you know once your a PLP member it absolves you from any blame, racial predjudice, and almost any other wrong doing……..

                LOL perfect world really.

                • LOL (original TM*) says:

Not saying the OBA are any better but hey the lesser of two evils………..

            • aceboy says:

What does that have to do with the shenanigans at COH? Nothing. That is a discussion about education. The UBP have been out of power for 14 years, perhaps your PLP could have fixed what was broke instead of what they did with respect to education, which was nothing…except build a school that was years late and multiple millions overbudget.

      • LOL (original TM*) says:

Umm I think the PLP have been blaming and are still blaming the UBP(aka whity) for EVERYTHING that is wrong in Bermuda and in their lives and this does not seem to be stopping any time in at least the next 20 years to come so if you can’t take 1 year of what the PLP been dishing out wow………………But your right inorder to move forward both sides need to drop it and start pushing forward together just hope I’m alive to see it happen. RIP Mendela and anyone who might want one day to be in a peaceful, equal world.

        LOL

  3. Nuffin but da Truth says:

and so it begins!…NAIL THEM ALL!

  4. swing voter says:

sounds like legal proceedings are the order of the day for CoH…..every day…..so much for getting on with business…some lawyers lickin their chops at this action, and many more $400/hr legal battle to follow ;-(

  5. Triangle Drifter says:

Sure hope this COH have a means of support after they get shamefully thrown out. Nobody will ever want to hire any of them.

    • Tina says:

The COH, are a bunch of loosers….looking to screw us !!1 Lord have mercy where the hell have we gone ? throw the bums out…..think about it we have Outerbridge who has never had a real job …..in charge…… Bermuda we are in deep #$%^ with these lot in charge….

    • Chart says:

Lol one wanted to hire them before!

  6. tidibit says:

It was obvious right from the beginning that this little group was a sham! Some of them were Political wannabes so the they used the COH avenue!

I only hope the voting residents within the Hamilton boundaries open their eyes and smell the coffee! As a black man myself it was quite clear that Team Hamilton was misleading them. I am glad that Larry discerned the agenda early and exposed them as much as he could! Bravo Larry!!!!

Blacks are got to stop using other blacks vunerability and hardship to gain power and control! To long we have accused the white man for this behaviour that we have manipulated and tweeked it for our own greed and advantage.

Outerbridge had to be the front man, but he to is not Team Hamilton’s favourite member! We all know who the key players are in this whole scenario.

  7. Unbelievebale says:

Can someone explain “injunctive relief proceedings ” please?

  8. u ank sers says:

In simple terms: THEY (Graeme and team) PAID themselves with the TAXPAYERS money, when they shouldn’t be getting paid at all, since no one’s been paid ever! FIRE THEM!!

  9. Bermudian. says:

A court order by which an individual is required to perform, or is restrained from performing, a particular act. A writ framed according to the circumstances of the individual case.

  10. Hmmm says:

I hope the residents of The city that voted them in are proud of the damage and wasted money. Ask yourselves, was it worth it ?

  11. Lennie says:

Get ‘em Mikey….This Corp of Hamilton administration have damaged the City’s reputation and they need to go. As for everyone in public office, there needs to be a higher standard of accountability.
    TYAD

  12. Common Sense says:

Surely the ethical and right thing to do now is for the COH to wait until the hearing on Friday (just a few days away) to ascertain what the judge will rule regarding their payments to themselves. This would clearly demonstrate that they want to abide by the laws of the land, and would demonstrate their belief in our system of justice.

    Is this asking too much?

  13. Silence Do Good says:

The proper thing for CoH elected official to do in the first place was pass a resolution for the next administration to get paid (fair play). Failing that and the new amendments that allowed them to be paid a stipen was to lobby for an increase by presenting a case for it. The Municipalities Act does not allow then to arbitrarily dispense with the rules that govern them. This CoH administions feels that they can do whatever they choose (Waterfront and Ombudsman report)…best of luck to them if this failed administration is usurped out of power on their skewed integrity.

By the way – Thank-you Team Hamilton for the entertainment (soap opera) at the tax payers expense. You are right up there with Toronto’s, Detrioit’s and Washington’s Mayors. Well done what a legacy to hang your hat. Do the honourable thing and resign before more dirty laundray is hung out to dry.

  14. Incompetence says:

Premier Cannonier,do not pay any of my hard earned taxpayers dollars,to the present COH.

  15. However says:

If The PLP EVER BECOME THE GOVT AGAIN, HAITI WILL BE MORE ATTRACTIVE.
