34 Year Old Man Injured In Car/Cycle Collision
[Updated] At around 10.15am this evening [Mar 9] there was a collision on Marsh Folly Road by the tennis stadium, which involved a motorcycle and a car.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, and as of this writing the area remains blocked off. Details about the collision remain unclear, however we will update as able.
Update 1.37am: A Police spokesperson said, “Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Sunday night at 10:10pm. It appears that two vehicles, a car and a motorcycle collided in the area of Marsh Folly Road by the Tennis Stadium.
“As a result, a 34 year old man was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be serious head injuries. Traffic Collision investigators were called to the scene and an investigation into the collision has begun.
“Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen the collision to contact The Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.”
Update Mar 11, 1.38pm: A police spokesperson said, “At last check the 34 year old man apparently seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Sunday, March 9th around 10:10pm in the area of Marsh Folly Road by the Tennis Stadium was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.
“Any witnesses to this collision that have not already come forward are encouraged to contact PC Ashun Wolffe on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
