  1. This is great news and so fitting for the legacy of such a renown poet, Maya Angelou has touch the lives of countless millions. Her legacy will last through out history,I use to love listening to her and especially watching her in Tyler Perry’s movie.

only chance I ever got to see her up close and personal was at the home going service of the late Mrs Corretta Scott-King, wife of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, and she sweeten the audience as she took to the podium and put all former President’s and political leaders in their place, with a poem that was fit for the occasion, and at the end we all stood with a standing ovation to the point most forgot it was a funeral.

May her legacy live on for her poetry but may her real story always be at the forefront of the struggles she fought hard for and helped to bring black women to the fore front.

Maya Angelou was a living goddess. A mother to all who heard her voice or read her words. It feels like a family member has passed. This is a very sad day for the world. The passing of an icon. RIP Maya Angelou.

They were always doing positive things. Certain media just wanted to spin it a certain way to try and blame it on the government of the day.
