Full Results: Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby

Tyler Butterfield and Ashley Estwanik raced to victory in this morning’s [May 26] Bermuda Day Half-Marathon, with both runners taking the lead right from the start in Somerset, and holding their leads all the way to Bernard Park.

Tyler Butterfield finished the race with a time of 1:11:16, with his dominating form seeing him cross the line a full four minutes ahead of the next runner.

Chayce Smith placed second in 1:15:21, Stephen Allen was third at 1:15:46, James O’Shea wa fourth at 1:17:02, and Christopher Harris rounded out the top five at 1:17:03.

In the women’s class, Ashley Estwanik took the title with a time of 1:21:22, followed by Nikki Butterfield at 1:28:50, and defending champion Rose-Anna Hoey in third at 1:31:14.

Juma Mouchette was the top male junior finishing in a time of 1:30:08, while Aisling Gorman was the top female junior finisher in 2:08:20.

George Jones — who has been running the race for many years now — was the oldest racer today, with the 77 year old crossing the line in 3 hrs 44 mins.

    I would like to see H2o stops at the relay change over spot. There were people of all ages participating and they could use a little refreshment at the end of their leg (race)

      Plan ahead and get the person you hand over the baton to bring a bottle of water, gatorade or drink. You give them the baton, they give you your drink.

    Thanks for posting the full results Bernews. It’s so great to see that some couples that ran together also finished together… though rarely found these days, what an excellent example of true partnership in a marriage. Having more of this behaviour will be a wonderful example for our children too. Congratulations to all… you are all winners!
