HSBC Notice: Hours Changed Due To Gonzalo
Due to Hurricane Gonzalo planning to making an unappreciated visit to us, there will be an interruption to HSBC branch hours of operation. HSBC Bermuda branches will close at 1:00pm on Thursday [Oct 16] and remain closed on Friday.
A spokesperson said, “In accordance with HSBC Bank of Bermuda Limited‘s Business Continuity Plan, the requisite hurricane preparations are in place to ensure minimal disruption to our business and the safety of all of our employees.
“Due to Hurricane Gonzalo that is threatening Bermuda, there will be an interruption to our services. HSBC Bermuda branches will close at 1:00pm on Thursday, 16 October and remain closed on Friday, 17 October 2014. The Bank will reopen when it is deemed safe for our employees and our customers to resume normal activity.
“Customers may continue to reach our call center on 299-5959. We anticipate that the following ATMs will remain available barring any interruption of power or telecommunications: Harbourview Centre on Reid Street and Rural Hill Plaza [Ice Queen] in Paget. HSBC ATMs that are located in merchant stores or gas stations will be available dependent upon each locations operating hours. Customers are encouraged to have cash on hand before conditions worsen.
“The following client transaction deadlines have changed for Thursday, 16 October
- Money Fund trade submission deadline moves to 11:00AM.
- Wire submission deadline for Personal Internet Banking moves to 12:00PM.
- Wire submission deadline for HSBCNet moves to 11:00AM for Canadian Dollars [CAD] and 12:00pm for all other currencies.
- ATM deposits and Quick deposits made in the Branches before 11:30AM will be processed for same day value.
