Photos & Video: Bermuda Race Weekend 10K

Kenya’s Benjamin Meto and the USA’s Heather Kampf raced to victory in today’s [Jan 17] 2015 Bermuda Marathon Race Weekend 10K road race, with Meto crossing the line in a time of 31.01, while Kampf finished in a time of 35:09.

Lamont Marshall was 2nd overall and the first Bermudian across the line, Diriba Yigezu from Ethiopia finished 3rd, Bryan Huberty from the United States was 4th, and Heather Kampf was 5th overall and the top female.

16-year-old Tyler Smith from Bermuda made a great showing finishing 6th overall, Dr Tucker Murphy — who represented Bermuda at the Winter Olympics — placed 7th, while Deon Breary was the top Bermuda female, finishing 32nd overall with a time of 41:32.

80-year-old David Hoffman from the USA finished 646th becoming the oldest runner to cross the finish line, while 74-year-old Eiko Sakamoto from California was the oldest female runner to finish, placing 737th. The official results show that 774 runners finished this morning’s race.

    Congrats to ALL the 10K runners and 10K walkers. As far as the walkers are concern Um not talking about the walkers that sign up to walk and ran part the way. I can’t see how they could be HAPPY with thier POSITION and TIME they are just CHEATERS.

    agreed. take it easy. there is no way to police walkers so you just have to grin and bear it or sign up for the running category.
