Duke of Edinburgh Award Set To Host Fun Day
The The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Bermuda is getting set to host an Expedition Relay Challenge and Community Fun Day, with the event to include a variety of attractions, including Bermuda’s newly available first mobile zip line.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 2.00pm through 5.00pm on the Government House Lawn, North Shore. Registration for the relay will be available until 1.00pm that day.
A spokesperson said, “The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Bermuda invites the general public to our Expedition Relay Challenge and free community fun day at Government House. One way traffic should enter from Langton Hill and parking is available on the grounds at Government House.
“There will be a variety of activities for all ages, including the debut of Bermuda’s first mobile zipline, and obstacle course, soccer and basketball games, DJ Jugglin J, community information booths, and vehicles on display from Bermuda Police Service, St. Johns Ambulance, Phenomenal People, and SCARS.”
“Spectators for the relay races will be entertained watching teams of four as they navigate the short course and plan their route, pack their bags, hop along for their mode of transport, and put up their shelter. Food and drinks will be on sale.
“Bring the family and spend a fun-filled afternoon with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award on Saturday, April 25th, from 2pm – 5pm at Government House.”
