Man In Critical Condition Following Collision

A 62-year-old Warwick man is listed in critical condition in the ICU following a collision early this morning [April 26] on Harbour Road in Paget.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 1am on Sunday, April 26th first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road.

“The injured motorcyclist, a 62 year old Warwick man, apparently collided with a wall.

“He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.

“Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the area while the scene was processed by the Forensic Support Unit as well as a Traffic Collision Investigator.

“Inquiries are ongoing and witnesses, including anyone who may have been in or traveled through the Harbour Road, Paget area between Chapel Road and Manse Road around 1am Sunday, should contact the investigating officer Constable Oba Swan on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
