Man Found On Side Of Road, Taken To Hospital

A 52-year-old Warwick man was found lying on the side of the road in an unresponsive state this afternoon [May 29], leading first responders to be dispatched to the scene.

The man was taken to hospital and is reportedly responding to treatment.

A spokesperson said, “Around 12.50pm on Friday, May 29, first responders were dispatched to a reported medical emergency on Bluff Lane in Pembroke, which is in the vicinity of Mount Hill.

“It appears that a 52 year old Warwick man was found lying on the side of the road in an unresponsive state.

“The Warwick resident was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment and at last check was responsive to treatment; however it is anticipated that he will be kept at the hospital for further observation as a precaution.

“There were no suspicious circumstances reported.”
