Athletes To Compete: NACAC Sr Championships
The Bermuda National Athletics Association [BNAA] will be sending a team to the North America, Central American and Caribbean [NACAC] Senior Championships in Costa Rica.
“The team leaves Wednesday morning [Aug 5] with the competition beginning Friday August 7th and ending Sunday August 9th,”said BNAA President Donna Watson.
“This event is also being used as a qualifier for the World Championship as the top athlete in the event may be eligible for a spot at the World Championships. We are trying to make this an event where we showcase our top athletes in our region.”
The athletes who will be traveling will be:-
- Aaron Evans – 800m
- Tre Houston – 100m & 200m
- Shaquille Dill – 800m
- Lamont Marshall – 1500m
- Jah-Nhai Perinchief – HJ [his first Senior Competition]
- Team Manager – Freddie Evans
- Coach – Rohaan Simons
“There will also be our NACAC Congress where there will be elections this year with all positions up for re-election. I will be running for my position and hopefully will be successful once again,” added Ms Watson.
