Congratulation Mr. Brown; now show us (all) what it is you’re truly about. Here’s an opportunity to rekindle your honest desire/s towards the facts and not the one sided version…Accepting and clarifying it’s values to everyone.

Is he seeking understanding, or giving his interpretation ?

This sounds like a history rewrite in the making.

It’s no secret what Mr. Walton Brown’s biggest goal is. This will undoubtedly be an 18-hour of lecture on why he thinks Bermuda should become independent. Yesterday, the PLP offered dinner at Alaska Hall to come “meet the candidates” all ready to roll out for an snap election. And now we are being invited to hear a version of Bermuda’s history that will end with the final lecture about how we need to “Understand Modern Bermuda” and go independent. Pleeeez. Mr. Brown, look around you and make note of how many Bermudians and going to university in the UK and only have to pay the same low rate as UK students. It is by far the cheapest option for a university degree. Then look at how many of Bermuda’s unemployed have migrated to the UK and get UK Government assistance, National Health, etc. There is a long list of benefits we currently enjoy as an Overseas Dependent Territory. We are the size of a small town, for Pete’s sake, plus we are saddled with $2B in debt. Independence? Become a mighty nation? Yeah, right.
