This is so sad what eva happen to a simple 1 on 1 fights like back in the day. I feel if assaults like this happen how will the island be if they legalise gay marriage. Just my opinion

    • Kate says:

What does gay marriage have to do with crime?

    • marlin says:

      Lol what mate?

    • serengeti says:

If this was a hate crime of some sort I hope they get lengthy prison sentences.

    • Luis Suarez says:

#Bermuda, pushing gay marriage in conversations where it isn’t needed??

Come out of the closet sir/madam!!

It is 100% fine to be gay, just let yourself go.

    • Wayaserious? says:

      Yah trolling inna mate? looool

    • Common Sense says:

How sad to read that someone can truly believe legalizing gay marriage can possibly equate to an increase in violent attacks such as this. Where on earth is the connection?

Tragically, there are always those who believe the sky will fall if laws are changed. Gay marriage has now been legalized in many countries around the world from Canada to New Zealand, from Spain to South Africa. Can anyone point to an increase in violent assaults as a result of these countires changing their laws?

    • Hmmm says:

What does gay marriage have to do with two girls attempting murder on another girl????

  2. SMDH says:

OMG !!! Cheesh ladies it was two of you. Did you really need a bat???? Obviously you didn’t see what happened to the last lady that weilded a bat !! Very Sad. No matter what the circumstances. Speedy recovery young lady.

    • Keepin' it Real!...4Real! says:

They should be charged with attempted murder and nothing less…as stated of the last baseball bat weilder…

Therefore life sentences STILL does not deter further actions by others.

Maybe Sharia law isn’t such a bad thing after all.

  3. .......... says:

    Absolutely appauling!!!!

  4. GTA says:

It was proven that in a recent court case a baseball bat attack can result in murder, I wonder if this will be considered as attempted murder. People need to understand you do the crime you deserve the time! Not to mention in the previous court case there was an argument for self defense, I wonder what the case will be like when there is possible intent involved.

  5. Bermuda says:

Kate in bermuda you have ALOT of homophobic bermudians and some just dont give two cents. They see a gay couple on the street its possible violence can take place. Im just thinking outside of the box thats all i have nothing agaisnt gays bisexuals or any for of that nature.

    • impressive. says:

understand the words you use before you go around repeating them. I would like someone to explain to me how someone who doesnt agree or condone the homosexual lifestyle can be labelled as being in fear (Phobia-Phobic) of Homosexuality.. Pet Peeve, smdh..

    • Common Sense says:

Yes Bermuda, I fully agree that we have plenty of homophobic folks in Bermuda. I recall an incident where two young Philipino girls were innocently walking down Reid Street holding hands – a custom that is very common in their home country – and a homophobic man came up behind them and starting cursing them at the top of his voice and accusing them of being lesbians. They were not. Who is at fault here? We have to change attitudes and the place to start is to condemn homosphobic behaviour wherever and whenever it occurs.

      • Legacy says:

I’m pretty sure the guy was mentally ill.

      • Legacy says:

Probably over some man who doesn’t want any of them…

  6. geebie says:

These type of attacks are beneath human!
My son will never live a full life because of this same type of attack!!!
I thought I had forgiven his attacker (who has never been charged) . Yet I question myself each time he falls ill due to his injury!!!
Praying for a full recovery young lady!
You other two- do your time!

  7. Truth is killin' me... says:

Somebody trying to imply these women fighting were lesbians. I’m more inclined to believe they were plain old RATCHETS!!

    • here says:

No just a fed up gf and a friend of hers making the wrong choices at the time. They’re not ratchet at all. They just acted out before thinking.

    • Hmmm says:

more girls throwing their lives away over some boy

  8. swing voter says:

I have no friends, I go work then go home.

  9. aceboy says:

“. I would like someone to explain to me how someone who doesnt agree or condone the homosexual lifestyle can be labelled as being in fear (Phobia-Phobic) of Homosexuality..”

You’re right, the proper term for these types of people is ‘ignorant’

  10. Jus wondering says:

It’s sad how much hate this small little island has. Why do people feel like it’s ok to attack people … A female was jus convicted of murder because she made the wrong choice and assulted someone wit a bat .. So these girls go and do the same ?! I read the victim has head injuries. … Soooo they clearly hit her in the head … 18 years old ?!? Doubt they would handle jail very well. Why not learn from other people’s mistakes ! I’m actually tired of living on my own island .. It’s jus sad. Yes other places are worst but it doesnt justify what’s going on here. All these robberies lately. Bermuda do better !

  11. D says:

Probably fighting over a boy smh

  12. Oh,I see now says:

How far we have fallen as a people I weep for my future…MASSIVE SIGH.

  13. Oh,I see now says:

It’s bad enough the young guys that base their manhood on the Bull$!?) they produce, but the young girls….really.I guess equal opportunity in today’s world takes on a whole new meaning. Two steps forward one huge pole length backward sad to say WE produced them.

  14. blazer says:

Praise the Lord on this God given day,
    those young female thugs
ought to get serious time, after all they went to her
    (victim)house.
