Fox Sports Extends America’s Cup Coverage
Fox Networks Group have acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast all racing from the 35th America’s Cup in the Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Malta and in Israel.
With the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series Oman opening the 2016 race calendar on February 27-28, this agreement with Fox Sports will bring live racing to six additional markets. This latest arrangement means that America’s Cup racing is now being broadcast live in over 140 territories around the world.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Fox Sports to bring racing to our strong European fan-base, who can enjoy our racing beginning with this weekend’s Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series and running all the way through the final match in Bermuda in June 2017,” said Harvey Schiller, the Commercial Commissioner of the 35th America’s Cup.
A FOX Sports spokesperson commented: “The 35th America’s Cup and the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series will offer a new dimension to our viewers. We are excited at the prospect of showcasing competitive racing at the pinnacle of any sport and the America’s Cup offers that coupled with the highest standard of sports television production.”
Racing this weekend in Oman is on February 27 and 28, beginning at 1400 local time [GMT +4].
