Rosewood Tucker’s Point has been awarded the 2016 Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award, marking the first time the ranking has been bestowed upon the hotel, and making it the only property in Bermuda to receive the ranking this year.
“It’s barefoot luxury at its finest, from pampering treatments at the 12,000-square-foot Sense Spa to days spent on the four tennis courts or Roger Rulewich-designed golf course to afternoon Dark and Stormys on your private terrace and evenings in the 3,000-bottle wine room,” Forbes said in describing the hotel.
“Food at the luxury hotel is a standout. The island offers an abundance of fresh fish and vegetables, and the resort’s restaurants prepare this farm-to-table bounty with an emphasis on international flair.”
“Being awarded the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award for the first time is a great achievement, not only for our hotel, but also for our beloved Bermuda,” says Paul Telford, managing director. “I am extremely proud of our team here at Rosewood Tucker’s Point for winning this coveted award.”
In describing the awards, the publication says, “Forbes Travel Guide announces its Global Star Ratings yearly, so visit often and discover our list of the world’s finest hotels, restaurants and spas.
“Only properties that meet our hospitality standards — the most stringent in the industry — achieve a Five Star, Four Star or Recommended rating.
“Our professional inspectors check into and check out every property we rate regularly, evaluating more than 500 criteria to determine a Star Rating that takes the guess work out of travel planning and establishes a global benchmark for luxury travel.
While Rosewood Tucker’s Point was the only local hotel to receive the 2016 Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award, three other local resorts made the :Recommended Hotels” list, with Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa, Elbow Beach Bermuda and Fairmont Southampton all winning the accolade.
