  1. GiveThanks says:

These stationary vehicles need to have better lighting on them when parked. Especially when parked on poor lit roads. I hope and pray both women recovery fully.

  2. Honesty says:

If only our streets where big enough for cars, and not meant for horses, we might have less accidents.

  3. There are far too many Street lights out at night. I’ve driven past four areas in one night with at least six lights out all at once. Not good at all at night!

    • Micro says:

Several lights along Harrington sound Road near town Hill have been out since Fey.

I hope everything turns out well for this young lady and she can make a good recovery. Does anyone know why the trailer was on the side of the road? I’ve been down that stretch of road a lot and I always think it’s silly how a white line in some places…is allowing people to park on that stretch…especially outside those houses on the water it’s dangerous even during the day with two lane traffic. Let’s keep that family in our thoughts.

  5. James Rego says:

Sometime back there was a black, container trailer parked behind Belco on Cemetery Road. At night this road is poorly illuminated and with a black trailer, the owner was asking for someone to kill themselves. I reported to to the Police and it was promptly removed.

As we all know, there are those among us who could care less for the rest of us who also use our highways (not saying this being the case) but with a little fore-thought the loss of life or injury can be avoided.

Hopefully this lady has a full recovery.

Let’s stop making excuses. Do you know the full circumstances of the collision? If you drive at the legal speed limit, even the unofficial maximum of 50 kpm, your car is equipped with headlights, your reaction time should not be dependent on street lights. You cannot blame dimly lit street for the lack of attention AND experience on the roads. Slow down Bermuda and pay attention.

  7. Micro says:

Certainly hope the owner of the trailer is held fully accountable if any laws were broken with it being parked there.

A similar incident is bound to happen along North shore along tynes bay with all the trailers that are parked along there. Was an accident there last year I believe.

  8. Think about it says:

If everyone drove carefully with headlights on and payed attention to the road instead of cell phones this wouldn’t happen nearly as often.

    • Can't arse me says:

And her the dumb arse’s come…stfu not on this post because you are insinuating she was on her phone and you just like everyone else has no clue how and if people where paying attention. Ever tried to ride a bike and be on the phone? It’s not easy therefore ummm a lot of people don’t actually do it. Idiot

    • Assumptions says:

Wtf you talking about? How do you know cellphones were involved? Maybe the trailer is yours.
