Somerset Defeat St George’s In Mini Cup Match
The Department of Youth, Sport & Recreation held the Annual Mini Cup Match today at the National Stadium North Field, and for the 3rd consecutive year Somerset were victorious beating St. George’s by 46 runs.
The St. George’s team included Dionte Dowling [Captain], Jutorre Burgess, [Vice Captain], Kristian Cherrington, Zyare Outerbridge, Rakeem Wilsonn, Kwynn Dill, Jamarae Hall, Roydon Grant, Ahri Daniels, Aiyah Pitcher, and Seth Daniels.
The Somerset team included Sachiel Ming [Captain], Zakao Hart [Vice Captain], Nijae Aberdeen, DaeZi Harvey, Jahni Douglas, Ray-Juan Steers, Kenzai Simmons, Jahdae Bean, Yazik Govia, Jasir Seaman-Thomas nad Jayce Fough.
The Somerset MVP – Bowler – Ray-Juan Steers for claiming 4 wickets; batter Sachiel Ming for 11 runs.
St. George’s MVP – Bowler – Roydon Grant for 3 wickets; batter Kristian Cherrington for 13 runs.
