  1. Warwick Resident says:

Whether we get e-mail back on Sunday morning remains to be seen. Last weekend, when I eventually got e-mail, one of the first items in my in-box was a bill from Logic. What an insult.

And not a word from them of credits on the account and then this evening’s news statement that there are exciting developments. A really good one would be some proper customer service.

    • Dockyard Lackey says:

Still no email this morning, Saturday. On the subject of billing, I pay by automatic debit and was billed twice in August. Waiting with bated breath to see if that gets adjusted this month. Really do not care how good their new bundle is, it’s bye bye Logic etc from me.

  2. The Observer says:

With this situation and the vast majority of the clients having there service disrupted for an extended period and the company acknowledging there is a problem what are they doing to compensate the customer for the inconvenience?

Secondly, what are the Regulatory Authorities thoughts on this situation and what are they going to do to mitigate these service interruptions?

Where is the oversight for the customer?

Internet prices in Bermuda for the poor or intermittent service needs to stop.

    • CommonCents says:

If you think you’re going to get compensated for email being down, dream on. Email is an ancillary service for them at best. Providing an internet connection is the primary one. Move into the real world and get a real world email solution like Gmail. Local email services are token services at best – something the ISP feels obligated to offer, but anyone with common sense will use an off-island service for email.

      • Mare says:

We pay for email monthly for 24 hour daily service. With no service from Logic issues, and the inconvenience, plus time needed to catch up, I will demand a credit.

Still waiting for them to acknowledge my email to Support when I had no email from 7am to 4 pm on previous Sunday.

  3. Widget says:

There are other email providers, get one.

  4. Rhonnda O says:

Didn’t have email at all on Friday, anyway.

  5. Broken Glass says:

should always have a back up email, never rely on Loic or any other on island server as it takes time to get things fixed…(Bermuda time!)
plus parts sometimes need to be flon in.

G mail or Yahoo are FREE.

  6. Zevon says:

So they’re telling it will just be like a normal evening. No email and unreliable internet and cable.

  7. Golden child says:

Yes this has been a very disgusting week for me !! In fact I run my own construction company and rely a lot on emails unfortunately I lost a couple of small jobs because I did not reply to a few clients on time because I did not recive any emails I tried by passing and going straight to the north rock web mail site only to also recive the lines “sorry cannot connect to mail as the server is not responding ” I received a memo about a month ago stating that all northrock wireless customers will have to come in and get switched over to logic which means that in my case I would need to have a cable pulled new modem etc. I made and appointment Which was last week Saturday they came and said that they could not do anything because new lines has to be pulled from the pole “duh”
Of course if I’m been wireless anyway they said someone will contact me no one did I then Saturday night my service dropped out I went into thier offices on Tuesday to find out what’s going on they said a tech will come to see me on thrusday 9:00 I waited all day again loss of money as I’m self employed I know that somtimes we can not predict what will go wrong with machinery but this is upsetting I never had any problems with my northrock wierless and I don’t owe them any $$ as I have a credit on my account
So now we are being forced under one umbrella
Cable vision , logic, and don’t talk about going BTC they are hopeless too
I’ll see what happens within the next 48 hrs

  8. Ian Hunter says:

I have only had one batch of emails on my computer since last Saturday. Been on the webmail account and can’t access it. Thank the lord that I have a Icloud account as I am getting those. I wonder what will happen with all the online bills that I should be getting, is Logic going to pay my late payment fees?

  9. Devonshire Bermudian says:

I maintain a medical business in Hamilton that requires computers and many other essential pieces of equipment. Should any break down we have spares and backups readily available on Island. So why does a large company not have similar contingency plans?
They should name their business, as adverts

  10. Serious Though says:

It’s a deplorable excuse for logic not to have disaster recovery server on an email system, show lack of IT Management and consumers have the right to question their business practices as they continue to merge with other companies

  11. Ken H says:

Are you sure they didn’t mean 11:00 p.m. Friday, September 9th? I’ve no e-mails today despite having sent myself some from my I-pad.

    • Ken H says:

Apologies for the grammar, it should have read “I have not received any e-mails today despite having sent myself some from my I-Pad (iCloud)”.

  12. Just curious…. With NORTHROCK. LOGIC and CABLEVISION merging, one would wonder if there will be any Bermudian job losses.

  13. smudge says:

at least some of you have had intermitent email I HAVE HAD NOTHING SINCE LAST SUNDAY(4th)

    tHINK I AM NOT FRUSTRATED

  14. James R says:

Wow 11:28 Sunday morning and I just received a huge batch of mail.

  15. James R says:

After trying to cleanup my Northrock online account, wouldn’t you know it,12:21 and they are again back down! Talk about being short lived.

  16. Hopeful............ says:

Well, it is now 3:05pm Sunday Sept 11th; still no e-mail service

  17. bermygirl says:

Well it is noon on Monday and still not a single email received!
    Get it sorted Northrock/Logic!
