Bermuda’s Mikale Williams impressive showing earned him the “Most Outstanding Male Performer” honours at the inaugural Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Invitational, with Williams winning the long jump, triple jump and also setting a new school record.

Williams attends Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania, and the school’s website said, “Mikale Williams ’18 added to his own school record in the triple jump as the Mercersburg boys’ indoor track & field team took first place in the inaugural Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association [PAISAA] Invitational January 27. Mercersburg hosted the event in the Hale Field House.

“For the kickoff, several Mercersburg athletes delivered notable performances, led by Williams, who broke his own school record in the triple jump by a foot [leaping 44' 0.25"] and also won the long jump with a season-best 21′ 4″.

“His triple jump makes him a provisional qualifier for the Pennsylvania Track & Field Coaches Association Indoor State Track & Field Championship, which will be held at Penn State University on February 25. With his impressive performances, Williams was voted the Most Outstanding Male Performer at the meet.”
