Video: Sunday March 18th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Eryn Bhola was named Outstanding Overall Teen, the island raised over $400,000 to fight cancer during St Baldrick’s events, the Botanical Gardens’ blue birds got five new ‘homes’, Argus donated $13,000 to Sandys Secondary Middle School’s STEM education programme, and Dante Leverock scored in a Navra Trans victory were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, the Bernews Women’s History Month feature is highlighting the accomplishments of Bermudian women, Berkeley student Cairi Albuoy was selected for work experience with Marsh and Guy Carpenter, Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva and retired Assistant Commissioner Mr. Carlton Adams were honoured at Buckingham Palace, and Masterworks won a TripExpert Award.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Alpha Phi Alpha Black And Gold Ball, wins for Ravens and Mixed B Team in hockey, Devonshire Cougars defeating Somerset Trojans in football action, the 2018 Outstanding Teen Awards, and the BIU International Women’s Day Tea.
