Minister DeSilva Congratulates BTA Interim CEO

Minister Zane DeSilva congratulated the new Interim CEO of the Bermuda Tourism Authority Glenn Jones.

A Government spokesperson said, “Earlier today, the Minister of Tourism and Transport, the Hon Zane DeSilva JP, MP, met with CEO of the Bermuda Hotel Association [BHA] Stephen Todd, and the new Interim CEO of the Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] Glenn Jones.

“Minister DeSilva congratulated Mr. Jones on his appointment and reiterated to both men the Ministry’s commitment to working with the BHA and BTA in support of growing Bermuda’s tourism industry.”

“I was thrilled to hear of Glenn’s appointment,” said Minister DeSilva, “having known him for many years and working with him in my capacity as Minister, I have no doubt he is capable of holding the reigns of the BTA until a long-term leader is secured.”

“The experience will do him well and I look forward to working with Glenn and the BTA Team in achieving the goals and objectives of the National Tourism Plan.”

      Thank you,I’m glad I’m not the only one who notices….it is a desgrace the amount of staff ,and top of the line tools there is no excuse that Parks Dept should have tha park look like that…I guess Zane is waiting to be privatized só his company could jump in the wagon…

      Would not all of that be the responsibility of Parks & W&E. Where is Minister Git R Done Burch? Actually, not even him. Where are the people in those departments responsible for making sure work is done?
