BNG Youth Arts Council: Free Digital Program
The Bermuda National Gallery [BNG] Youth Arts Council recently launched a free digital program aimed at providing “opportunities for creative and independent thinking through an exchange of ideas and art education.”
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda National Gallery Youth Arts Council, aimed at students aged 14-17, produces art activities relevant to the teens of today. The free program provides opportunities for creative and independent thinking through an exchange of ideas and art education.
“The BNG has launched a dynamic digital program for the Spring term in association with artist and educator Sarai Hines. Students meet online via a digital classroom every Saturday morning, where they explore a range of topics using the artwork and artists of the 2020 Bermuda Biennial as inspiration.
“Sarai graduated with a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in Boston, and is currently teaching art at Dellwood middle school, whilst working towards her Masters in Teaching and Learning.
“There are a few spaces left for the Spring term, which runs until June 20th. Registration is free. Please contact education@bng.bm to register.”
