Limited Bus Service To Resume On May 18th
The Department of Public Transportation said that starting Monday, 18 May, the “bus service will resume daily operations under a temporary reduced service Covid-19 bus schedule with limited passenger capacity.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Public Transportation advises the public that starting Monday, 18 May, the bus service will resume daily operations under a temporary reduced service COVID-19 bus schedule with limited passenger capacity.
“Passengers with March 2020 passes may continue to use these until 31 May. April and May 2020 passes may be returned and exchanged for June, July or August 2020 passes only. All exchanges must be made at the Central Bus Terminal on Washington Street, Hamilton by the deadline date of June 21, 2020. Please observe the COVID-19 physical distancing and hygiene requirements in place at Central Terminal.
“The Ministry of Health requires that all passengers wear a face mask when traveling on the public bus and maintain a minimum of 3 feet distancing when seated. As a result, seating will be limited to a maximum of 17 passengers with no standing allowed. DPT will monitor the demand and deploy additional buses where possible.
“Before boarding, please be aware of the following:
- Do not board a bus if you are unwell or displaying flu-like symptoms such as a fever, cough or sneezing.
- Reduce conversations with bus operators; if you must converse do so at the door.
- All passengers must wear a face mask; individuals without will not be permitted to ride.
- Customers must sanitize their hands on entry.
- Adhere to the physical distancing signage when choosing your seat.
- Healthcare workers must not wear their medical uniform on the bus.
“Remember, travel only for essential purposes and never if you have cold or flu-like symptoms; fever, sneezing or coughing. Now is not the time for the leisurely bus or ferry rides so stay at home as much as possible.
“Please take note of the bus schedule which goes into effect Monday, 18 May 2020 until further notice. The schedule is also available online at the Department of Public Transportation’s website.
“The Department of Public Transportation would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation as we work to keep Bermuda safe from the spread of COVID-19.”

Where is the #2 bus route?

WHO WRITES THIS STUFF
You promote and claim to enforce distancing at 6 feet, now you say 3 feet is ok inside a bus and zero feet in beauty salons. SMH.
Not even worth a reply.
You can ride a bus and sit 3 feet apart. You can get your nails and hair done, you can shop for the new outfit to wear to the party or swimsuit to wear to the beach or go boating but you can’t go to a gym and stay 6 feet apart and clean the equipment between clients! Seriously, OPEN THE GYMS. Have restrictions sure but let people exercise!!!!
