Premier Receives Caribbean Tourism Award

On Sunday October 4th evening, in Kingston Jamaica, Dr Ewart Premier Brown was recognized by the Caribbean Media Exchange on Sustainable Tourism [CMEx] with its highest honor, The World Leadership Award. This award was established to recognize those who inspire others with their life’s work to the cause of sustainable tourism and development.

Dr. Brown, who also is Minister of Tourism, had previously said, “I am humbled and deeply gratified to be selected as a recipient of the CMEx 2010 World Leadership Award. In Bermuda, we have made tremendous strides to revive our once moribund tourism industry. From targeting new air carriers to improving existing hotel properties and attracting new properties to our island, we have begun a tourism turnaround that will continue for years to come.”

    Methinks the Great Narcissist has been reduced to groveling for accolades that a six year old can see through. A crying shame though that the taxpayer is yet again paying for another rubbish trip… Hope he stays away from the smokes down there; we wouldn’t want him coming back paranoid, now; or would we?

    What has he done to deserve this “award”? Maybe it’s because of his travel miles.
    Have these people checked our tourism figures over the past 5 years?
