The area was experiencing higher traffic than normal at the time, due to members of one of the churches in the area leaving the Sunday morning service. We have limited information at this time, however we have not heard reports of anyone being injured. We will update with official information as able.

  1. Joya says:

WHY CANT THE POLICE DO HOUSE TO HOUSE SEARCH!!

    • Haile to Bermuda says:

And let them start with tearing your house upside down from top to bottom… You really think that’s gonna solve the gun problem with house to house searches? Guns can be moved by any means… If your a parent try searching through your children’s belongings and if you find anything illegal. ANYTHING! call the police and by this action you’d be doing your country a service.

    • Dawgberry says:

      for what exactly???

    • Maddog says:

Because it illegal fool, just because it is at st monica’s mission or 42 street you think you could go in anybody house.

  2. Down 'n' Dirty says:

People convicted of gun possession should have the priviledge of a drivers license and passport removed . Own GUN LOSE PASSPORT FOR LIFE ..

  3. Terry says:

    Down and dirty……………………..are you sane?

    Drivers licence?

    Passport?

Should they also loose bathroom privillages?

    I need a rum………….

  4. N/A says:

The Glebe Road/St. Monica’s Roads are under 24 Hour surveillance, so this shooting is on camera. We know they had visors on, and more than likely a removed license plate on the bike. We also know where the likely culprits hang out/live to. Why can’t we have more of our surveillance cameras in the most likely getaway routes that these guys use? Parsons Road, Court Street, Middletown, Curving Avenue, Princess Street, etc. We should be able to follow them right to their hangout spots, our island isn’t that big.

    • Fed Up! says:

I totally agree! So sick of these lil punks on their lil bikes with their guns!

  5. Cogged says:

    Wheres the National Security Minister?

    • smh says:

      @ Cogged,

What exactly would you like him to do? Swoop in from heaven and use his magical skills to track these criminals and personally apprehend them?

Or would you prefer that he use his future senses to determine the exact location and time that the next one will take place?

You should be really asking where the Governor is,….he’s the only one can use those powers, based on the constitution, that is.

  6. shameful says:

They’re not interested in solving this violence, because they’d have put cameras up on pond hill, curve, parsons road etc LONG ago, like when Kimwonde was murdered in BROAD daylight!!!!! Yea bus parked on 42 but no6uckin1 in it – do the math! They want this, people like paula are allowing guns to be brought in here…. All I know is someones kid is gona get hit and it is no fault of the parent bacause children will go where they want once thwy reach a certain age!

  7. Mkuu wa wezi says:

We know… We know.. A whole bunch of nonsense. Are these cameras working? Does 24 hour survilence mean the cameras are being monitored by a human eye 24 hours a day? I recently witnessed a young man in that area being harassed by a police officer for flying a flag on his car, whilst drugs were being sold yards away. As for house to house search in that area. What makes one think that the guns are not being kept in Tucker’s Town, Mizzen Top or Fairylands?

  8. Pathetic Learnalot Party (PLP) says:

Government is too busy raising taxes by to be bothered with a few gun incidents. They are waiting for all the gang members to finish killing each other then the war will be over – finally.

  9. Lifeblood says:

“They also appealed for any witnesses, particularly anyone who may have seen two men wearing dark coloured clothing on a dark coloured motorcycle in the vicinity”.

“any witnesses” …or another witness? Who saw the mystery men on the dark bike?

  10. AJ says:

    Bermuda has a constitution…….??????

  11. sad to see says:

Thank God no one was shot its so sad that people can’t sit in their own yard hey should have went down and hurt them selfs before they got to the house or after .STOP THE $hit

  12. rightious vigilant says:

Police need to use the RICO act like in the united states here n start kickin in these cowards doors.if ur associated, u get locked up str8 up!!! Everyone knows they cant fight and if they do its always with 10 of their fellow goons. it seems that the law doesnt strike fear in these guys because they kno everyone including the premier and govenor arent going to do anything but sit on their loins and play a broken record no one wants to hear. unless it was one of their own it would b some things being done but until then, they will always feel superior until someone elses child loses their life over this….

  13. White Christ says:

Get B.O.P.E. on em Look it up! They don’t play! Train officers with these guys and bring em back. No gang problems I guarantee.

  14. Bad Girl turn Good says:

These little ba$$tards have just started. No respect for life, no respect for family, no respect for businesses and no fret for consequences. Yes the higher ups as we call them are allowing this to brew assuming that they will not be affected. Let our “BAD BLOOD BLACK BOYS” continue to kill one another, that’s one less sitting on the wall or harboring court street. OK we alllllll know 42 is NOT a gang it is a neighbor hood which consit of pond hill, st monicas road, orchid grove and numerous other streets which connect to one area. Is Dock Hill, Dock & Stool etc considered gangs since guys hang there ALL DAY EVERYDAY?????? 42 boys do not hold up businesses on court street, they do not rob chains to put food on their table, they do not disrespect night clubs or businesses on front street, 42 does not ROB, KILL or HURT people to prove them selves or make RANK. AND before you ask NOOOOO I am not from 42 nor do I live in Pembroke. What 42 DOES do is SELL drugs “OBVIOUSLY” & defend themselves, yes they travel in groups as all young Bermudian men (black or white)do while partying or going out. The Bermuda police need to be more proactive in their investigations for example, petty theft of bikes today (minor crime in the popo eyes) becomes robbery & assult tomorrow. So we all want to know either if 42 is going to retaliate and/or if Parkside will make another attempt??? I predict Death within a Month but what is BDA Police doing about it. Can they not REWIND these cameras in all the hamilton HOT SPOTS maximum 15 minutes prior to see if there is any suspecious behaviour. What about the cameras located below pond hill near the bus stop on parsons road? REWIND THAT. BACK TRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

    retarded country

  16. RiseABOVE says:

42 HAS BEEN! REMAINS TO BE! WILL ALWAYS BE THE KINGS OF THE HILL! IT’S JUST THAT SIMPLE.

FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THE DYNAMICS OF THE PEOPLE WHO CONGREGATE IN THE VICINITY OF 42ND THEY ARE THE MOST DOWN TO EARTH FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE YOU CAN ENCOUNTER! AND MOST OF THEM DO WORK 9 TO 5′S THEY DO NOT ROB NOR THREATEN PEOPLE TO SUSTAIN THEMSELVES!

ITS TERRIBLE THAT THEY CAN’T LIVE IN PEACE! SILLY BACK OF TOWN BOYS WHO LIVE OFF THE HILL AND ACROSS THE DUMP ARE JEALOUS (AND THEY HAVE EVERY REASON TO BE)! AND WE ALL KNOW JEALOUSY IS A DISEASE THAT CAN DRIVE A MAN TO KILL!

42 RISE UP!!! THEY CAN NEVER KEEP YOU DOWN!! TO THOSE LOST TO THOSE WHO REMAIN!! YOU ARE THE BADDEST AND WILL ALWAYS BE!
