Imagine Bermuda hosted a community day Sunday [Dec.11] at T.N.Tatem Middle School, which featured majorettes, gombeys, fashion show, a fun castle, a rap contest and much more.
Warwick Gombey Troupe at Yes Day:
The school field was lined with activities and saw multiple friendly games of football being played. Young ones were seen lining up to enjoy the fun castles that were on hand and enjoying refreshments from vendors offering food and drinks. A variety of vendors were on hand offering clothing, toys, body oils and other items.
The Police Community Action Team was on hand with their mobile command vehicle and a police bike on display. The officers enjoyed the afternoon mingling with the crowds and answering questions.
Police Community Action Team Officer Thompson:
An obstacle course by the Bermuda Regiment challenged those who took part while others enjoyed a horse ride guided by Mike Watson. The Bermuda Electric Sports Club had an area set up for people to experience model racing cars, and the Seventh-day Adventists Health van was available for persons wishing a health screening.
