Tyrone Smith Wins In Texas
Bermuda’s Tyrone Smith’s 2012 Track and Field Season got underway when he participated in the 2012 Leonard Hilton Invitational in Texas this past weekend.
Smith’s top leap of 7.66m [or 25 feet, 1.75 inches] saw him win the Men’s Long Jump. His first leap in the event saw him power his way to a leap of 7.19m, he had a foul on his next attempt before leaping 7.56m on his third attempt. After two consecutive fouls Smith had a sixth abd final leap of 7.66m to take the victory.
