Police Investigate Sandys Gas Station Burglary
There was a burglary at Robinson’s Marina in Sandys this morning [Apr.17], with three helmet-wearing suspects gaining entry and stealing cash before escaping.
A police spokesperson, “Around 5:15am on Tuesday, April 17th police responded to a reported burglary at Robinson’s Marina on Somerset Road in Sandys parish.
“It appears that three unknown suspects gained entry into the service station, removed a quantity of cash and made good their escape. The offenders were wearing helmets at the time. The scene has been forensically examined and inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
“Detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding this matter to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.”

Must be the OBA/UBP boys trying to get money to fund their election lies to help them win the black votes. Lets be real before 1998 the OBA/UBP only look after the wealthy. Now 14 years later they say they have changed just to get back in power. Face it you need a large % of black votes to win.

NO lets be REALY REAL! Before 1998 the majority of people in Bermuda did not have to lock their doors, the majority of people in Bermuda had a job, the majority of people in Bermuda were considered economically stable & the majority of people in Bermuda could boast that this island was one of the safest places on earth. Now lets not forget who the majority race in Bermuda was before 1998 & still is. This says a lot for what the political party AFTER 1998 has done for Bermuda’s majority.

The truth is they need a lot of votes black, white or other to win. That’s how voting works isn’t it? Majority votes wins? Although with the plps history of Ahmadinejad and making up the rules as they go along who knows. Maybe they’ve decided to change how democracy actually works….
The only way to rob a gas station properly would be to take an empty two thousand gallon water truck and empty the tanks !!! Do the math .
O.K. Mad Max were do you suppose they would hide this two thousand gallon water truck after their perfect heist? Also, how would they cash in on the stolen goods or trade drugs for it? It would make for a good comedy plot. The high speed chase seen would be the climax that ended literally in a bang.
When will YOU all get tired???? No matter what article is posted SOMEONE just HAS to bring politics into it…..Boring and annoying!!!!! I guess if it rains tomorrow on the first day of the Exhibition, let me guess, Nothing to do with Mother Nature, but it will be UBP, OBA or the PLP’s fault……..SMH

Absolutely agree with you! The only group that uses an acronym in Bermuda that we should take a guess at being the culprits is MOB. If these are the ones who did it then the only supporters to blame are those who turn a blind eye to them doing their business on that end of the island.
They should release the video so the public can assist in catching these criminals
as for as i know, and this is going back a few years when Robinsons first installed cameras they had no film in them, and that continued for a few years. Im not sure if theyve fixed that yet or not. More pressing matter would be if the cameras at post office caught anything. Those government cameras which they have put up to ‘watch’ us better have some use. I’d prefer them to watch then use those for scaring us into believing we are watched!
Why was the cash accessible? Either these people know exactly where that cash was hidden which should have been in a safe or it was in a spot which was clearly easy to find.
Watching the crime scene on television it seems as if they smashed in the glass windows. Hasn’t this happened before. You haven’t lived and learned???? How about putting on some roll down aluminum shutters. I mean right by the waterside it would protect from the weather and wanna be gangster theives. Would be cheaper.
