Results/Photos: Day #4 World Rugby Classic

The fourth day of play in the World Rugby Classic took place last night [Nov 15] with Canada defeating Italy, and Australia claiming victory over the Classic Lions.

Canada 10 Italy 7

Hayden Gage gave Canada the lead after 12 minutes in this Plate Semi-Final, while John Graff kicked the conversion to give Canada the 7-0 lead.

In the 38th minute Luis Oano went over for the Try for Italy and then Matteo Mazzantuni kicked the Conversion Italy found themselves locked at 7- 7.

The teams battled back and forth but it was Graff who kicked Canada into the Plate Final with a Penalty Kick with one minute remaining making the final score 10-7.

Australia 19 Classic Lions 10

Australia scored the first Try after nine minutes as Nick Reilly burst through the Classic Lions front line from his half and handed off to Damon Murphy who scored the go ahead Try, but the Conversion was missed leaving the score 5-0

Reilly doubled the lead in the 15th minute, Reilly also added the conversion to make the score 12-0

Jon Patrie scored a try for the Classic Lions in the 26th minute but the conversion was missed making the score 12-5 as they began looking to get back into the game.

In the 40th minute Richard Francis pulled the Classic Lions within two when he went over for a Try, but yet again the Conversion was missed as the score remained 12-10 in favor of Australia.

Anton LaVin scored a Try for Australia to give them a 17-10 lead with 38 seconds remaining and then Reilly kicked the Conversion for the 19-10 win for Australia.
