Man Admits Stealing $7,500 Worth Of Jewelry
Sinclair Fox, 64, pleaded guilty to a charge of burglarizing a jewelry store on Front Street on June 17, 2013 and stealing two rings and a watch with a total value of $7,500.
The store owner discovered the offence when he opened the shop and noted that shop fixtures had been displaced. After checking the store’s CCTV, Police were called and Fox was identified as the likely culprit.
Fox was arrested and on June 20, admitted to Police that he had stolen the items. He said that he’d sold them and used the cash to buy heroin and cocaine.
Senior Magistrate Archie Warner ordered a Social Inquiry Report and a Bermuda Assessment Referral Centre report and set August 8 as the sentencing date for Mr Fox.
