Thirteen People Arrested At Warwick Property
On May 29th, thirteen people were arrested and suspected controlled drugs and cash were seized after police responded to a property in Warwick.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 10pm Wednesday, May 29th police officers responded to a noise complaint at a South Road, Warwick property.
“On arrival officers smelled what was believed to be illegal narcotics. A quantity of suspected controlled drugs and cash were subsequently detected and seized.
“13 persons were arrested at the location and later released on police bail. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.”

If this is how cops get there jollies I sympathize for what a sad life they must have. Patting yourself on the back for locking someone up for possessing a piece of a plant is just as lame as it gets. What next arresting someone for nutmeg?

I am sure you are aware that this particular plant is Illegal. Illegal to grow, illegal to sell and illegal to posess. That’s why the police locked people up.
What perhaps is less clear is that the trade in this plant is responsible for a high proportion of gang activity on the island. Gang activity that includes extortion, money laundering, smuggling, corruption and murder.

All the ills you have brought up are not because of the plant but the law surrounding the plant. The law that I see you know quite well as so do I but you obviously are not clear of the affects of this law even though you mention them. This is exactly the same type of law as prohibition of alcohol in the 1930s that gave rise to notorious gangsters like al capone.
Now that I think more on it the whole thing is not lame its sickening. Its sickening that law enforcement & law makers enforce a law that causes the profit of selling a plant to be so influential to the gangsters that they would steal, extort & murder for that profit. On the same token these law enforcers themselves profit from this law.

hmmm…seems to be snitches in the area huh? if the authorities were called because of the noise level, how come i dont see any report about the detection and confiscation of the alcohol…scientific studies reveal that alcohol induces people to become loud and belligerent, and marijuana induces people to become calm and submissive…WTF is wrong here..??

Mixing alcohol with anything makes it poisonous even water. There are studies that prove that mixing cannabis with any drug substance is relatively harmless & in cases where mixed with some stronger substance the effects are nulled out by the stronger substance.
Food for thought: Energy drinks are proven one of the worst drugs to mix with alcohol but this is legal to do. Along the same lines most energy drinks have two or more harmful drugs in them that are all just as harmful or more so than cannabis. Its legal for some one of any age to buy energy drinks in Bermuda.

If this were true than the loud & obnoxious fools who get drunk in town every weekend would be considered criminals. If there wasn’t any cannabis on the premises they would have been cautioned on their noise & no one would have been arrested. I bet the police would have even let them off if they were gambling or if there was underage drinking going on without the weed. I’ll agree they were dumb to bring attention to themselves while blazing but it wasn’t the attention that landed them in cuffs.

The whole story is a big waste of time and resources! The paper for finding this worthy of reporting, along with the police force for having to address the issue as it is some colossal problem. Weed is becoming legal in America and is looked at as minute issue in other parts of the world and a strip show, if there even was one, who cares. If there are all Consenting ADULTS at the time and place of the event then whats the problem? Now all these guys are gonna get some kind of infringement on the permanent records all for what, Plant aroma or plant substance and Titties!?!?
