Motorcyclist In ICU After Crashing Into Wall
[Updated] At around 3pm this afternoon [Oct 24] emergency personnel attended the Barrack Hill in St George’s after a collision which appeared to have involved a motorcycle rider striking a wall.
Bermuda Fire Service personnel tended to the injured man while police diverted traffic away from the area. An attending ambulance transported the injured motorcyclist to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. A number of buses were delayed as a result of the road being temporarily closed.
Update Oct 25, 2.39pm: The police said the victim collided with a wall, and is in stable condition in the ICU. The full police statement follows below.
Around 3pm on Thursday, October 24th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on Barrack Hill in St. George’s.
It appears that a motorcyclist was riding along Barrack Hill when he collided with a wall. The victim, a 42 year old St. George’s man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries.
At last check, he was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Ronald Richards at Southside Police Station on 293-2222.

are you serious hope they not scraping you off the road one day.. any serious accident the roads are blocked.. can turn fatal in an instant!! if that was your family member wouldnt you want a full investigation?? as if it is so difficult to go around the other way.. bermudian drivers are the lasiest people i know!! and if they cant park 2 ft from where they wanna be they dont stop!!!!
