One Person Injured In Hamilton Parish Incident
[Updated] One person has been left injured following an incident last night [Mar 14] on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish.
The details of what occurred are not entirely clear at this time, with police saying that the person was injured “possibly by a weapon that was allegedly observed during the incident.”
A police spokesperson said, “Police are investigating an incident that occurred around 9:15pm Friday, March 14th at a North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish residence resulting in the alleged theft of belongings from the occupants of that residence.
“In the course of the incident, a male person is believed to have received an injury, possibly by a weapon that was allegedly observed during the incident. The injury is not believed to be life threatening.
While the police would not yet confirm or deny unofficial suggestions a firearm may have been involved, a police spokesperson said, “Several people are currently helping Police with immediate enquiries and lines of investigation are being progressed.”
Update: The police confirmed that this incident involved an intruder apparently shooting and injured himself during an armed burglary. The male suspect was treated for a suspected gunshot wound at the hospital, and was then arrested.

I see NO mention of a gun or knife in the article (speculation) – all I see is… received an injury, possibly by a weapon that was allegedly observed during the incident!! There are many types-of-weapons, besides guns and knives!!
