One Person Injured In Car, Motorcycle Collision

[Updated] At approximately 11:08pm on Tuesday [Sept 9] the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a road traffic accident at the junction of South Road and White Sands Road, Paget.

Fire Service spokesperson Sergeant Russann Francis stated, “The Fire Service responded to a road traffic collision where a motorcycle was reported to have collided with a car. The Fire Service responded to the incident with one vehicle and five personnel.The injured person was transported to KEMH via ambulance.”

Update 12.07pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:10pm on Tuesday, September 9th first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of South Road and White Sands Road in Paget.

“It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along South Road and a car was being driven along White Sands Road when the vehicles collided at the junction.

“The motorcyclist, a 31 year old Pembroke man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in stable condition.

“The motorcycle received extensive front end damage. The car also received front end damage.

“Inquiries regarding this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Rawle Massiah at the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704.”
