PLP Constituency 33 To Host Constituency Clinic

January 8, 2015

The Bermuda Progressive Labour Party’s Constituency 33 Sandy’s South branch will be holding a Constituency Clinic and Voter Registration Drive this Saturday January 10, from noon to 2pm at the Somers Isles Lodge.

Sandys South MP Jamahl Simmons said,”During the bye-election, a number of constituents who had either just moved into the area or who were newly eligible to vote, were unable to participate as their voter registration information had not been updated.

“An election may be held at anytime and as a service to our constituents, we are pleased to offer the first of several opportunities to register or update your voting information.”

Mr. Simmons added, “Our Democracy works best when Bermudians participate, let their voices be heard and hold their representatives accountable. Our monthly clinic offers an opportunity for voters to express concerns, share ideas and get involved in helping to make our community better and stronger. We look forward to seeing you.”

“While the voter registration drive is being held by and in Constituency 33, all are welcome. For further information please contact MP Jamahl Simmons on 533-7007 or by email at jamahls@plp.bm,” the PLP added.

Mr. Simmons certainly is very active and engaging in C33. Early days, but very happy with this MP so far.

If your constituency ain’t right, take a laxative.

You’ll get about the same result as listening to a politician.
