Delta Flight Diverts Due To Sick Passenger

February 23, 2015

Passengers on board Delta flight 460 had an unexpected delay in their journey to San Juan, Puerto Rico on Sunday [Feb 22] when their plane diverted to Bermuda to disembark a sick passenger.

The flight, which departed New York’s JFK Airport, was south west of the island when the captain decided to make the diversion, flying a zigzag pattern to burn off fuel before landing at LF Wade International Airport at approximately 12.40pm.

Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel met the plane at the terminal where the sick passenger was transferred to an awaiting ambulance and transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. After taking on fuel, the flight continued on its journey.

Now here is an idea. With all of these ships & planes being diverted to Bermuda we should build a hospital at the East End & become sort of an emergency center in the middle of the Atlantic. Would not want these people & their germs mixing with us, the chosen ones, now would we.

I’ll cc Alaska Hall. Sounds like their kind of idea. After all, one of their group once proposed that a second airport be built at the West End, just in case the weather is bad at the East End he said.

This is precisely the reason I have a fleet of my own private jets. My time is so valuable, I cannot afford for unscheduled stops. I do hope the person is okay.
