This drinking hangout needs to be SHUT DOWN!!2 assaults in 2 weeks. Open your eyes people.

  2. Golden child says:

Is this the same park were an assult took place about a month ago ? Also the park that is now mixed up in which will be dubbed ” park gate ” lol seems to be a lot of funky energy surrounding this area & illegal activity hope the brother is ok

  3. Ann says:

Ok, second one in 2 weeks, most people know the The Par La Ville Park is home to A lot of unruly characters at all times of day, I am an OBA supporter and I am asking a simple task to be taken care of. Light the Park, Lock the Park, which would mean fixing the fencing around the park, and Police the Park. Small area, not much to ask!

    • Karla says:

I’m confused about what the person who Dislike your comment could possibly have a problem with. That you stated facts about the “second on in two weeks” or the type of people that hang out in the park? That you are an OBA supporter? That you want something to be done about the park?

      • Varied says:

I’m betting it’s the OBA supporter thing. One you declare political allegiance you’re going to be liable to instant dislikes from your ‘opponent’.

    • MAKE MY DAY says:

A better solution would be to throw ALL these unsavory characters out (period) – and then “police” the park on a regular basis!! These are a very small minority of “vagabonds” who are interfering with the majority of Bermudians and small amount of “visitors” – who wish to visit the park on a regular basis!!

PRIORITIES AGAIN COME INTO THE PICTURE!! GET A “GRIP” OBA GOV’T AND THE POLICE!!

Parlaville Park is an utter disgrace. It is “home” to individuals, young and old, who obviously do not have jobs as they loiter there all day and possibly also do not have fixed abodes (to put it politely). They use the park benches as their beds, the flower beds and bushes as their toilets (the smell is obvious), and the park in general as their living rooms where they congregate with other individuals of a similar social background. Walking through the park as a female is an experience that I try to avoid as much as possible and I definitely do pause there to eat lunch or get some fresh air. After the horrifying sight of one of the “residents” blow his nose onto the concrete right in front of me, being hooted at by questionable men on a regular basis, etc., etc., etc., why would I want to?

  5. Karla says:

Sorry, I do NOT pause there…. if the lingering odors didn’t drive me away, where could I possibly sit without being worried about what I might pick up from whoever was there before me. That’s if I was even able to find a bench to sit on considering that they usually already have a resident (and I do not mean a working person on their lunch break).

    • Tolerate says:

@Karla, I have not been in the Park in a long time; but if what you are saying is correct, than this latest incident warrants a clean up. The Park is there for all to enjoy, however like eating at a restaurant or enjoying the night at the movies, there is etiquette that has to be upheld.
Lewdness and unsanitary behavior warrants dismissal from the grounds.
      Simple.
Do it now before it escalates and it will no longer be there for the general public use nor our visitors.

I would like to know how anyone could dislike cleaning up Par La Ville park? Should I accept that unruly kids run it, where are there parents? The fowl language and smell is just wrong, there is a bathroom. I pay my taxes, I know where my kids are, you should still have some rights for doing the right thing in Bermuda.
