Car Fire At National Sports Centre Extinguished
Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel attended a vehicle fire at approximately 11pm tonight [May 29] at the National Sports Centre.
The fire which occurred on the same property as the ongoing Relay For Life event was extinguished before the Fire Service arrived with bystanders using fire extinguishers to put out the fire.
Bystanders told Bernews that “products that had been used in a dance display earlier and were being packed in the back of the car. One apparently wasn’t completely out and may have sparked the fire”. A canister could be seen laying on the ground near the damaged vehicle.
