Health Centre Lower Level Closure Continues
The Department of Health have advised that normal clinic services on the lower level of the Hamilton Health Centre, at 67 Victoria Street in Hamilton, were not able to resume as scheduled today [Nov 30] and an update will be given on Wednesday, December 2.
A spokesperson said, “The Department apologizes for any inconvenience caused. The closure is a temporary and precautionary measure resulting from an environmental investigation into an incident that occurred on Friday, November 27.
“Urgent services for infants and children will be provided at the Warwick Health Clinic from Monday to Wednesday. The operating times will be from 8:30 – 11:30 AM and from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and the public may call 332-8887 or 236 0649 for general inquiries.
“Clients may also see their primary physician. People booked for the Travel Clinic will be contacted by Clinic staff and be given a rescheduled appointment.
“Please be advised that services held on the upper level of the Hamilton Health Centre for Dental, Maternal Health and Family Planning and the Communicable Disease Control Clinic will operate as usual.
“It is anticipated that normal services will resume later this week and an update will be given on Wednesday, December 2.”
