Photos: Lions & France Win At Rugby Classic
[Updated with photo gallery] The 2015 World Rugby Classic continued at the National Sports Centre, with the third day of action seeing the Classic Lions defeat Argentina’s Classic Puma 20 – 17, and France defeat Classic Canada 24 – 0.
Classic Semi-Final: Classic Lions 20 – Classic Puma 17
A spot in the World Rugby Classic Final was up for grabs as the Classic Pumas allowed the Classic Lions to get on the scoreboard early with a Penalty off the boot of Gareth Bowen.
Argentina would take the lead with 16:40 remaining in the first half when Jose des Neves went over for a try, but the conversion was missed making the score 5 – 3.
Argentina would open up a 7 point gap with 11:36 remaining when Alejandro Galli went over, yet once again the conversion was missed, the Lions would draw level with 5 minutes remaining when Tony Buckley went over for a try and Gareth Bowen would kick the conversion to level the score at 10 – 10.
Argentina would take a second half lead with 26:30 remaining on the clock, Santiago Van Der Ghotte went over for the try, he then kicked his own conversion making the score 17 – 10, but the Lions would come storming back, the Classic Lions be awarded a penalty try as Argentina would not roll away and with the conversion it brought the score back to 17 – 17.
The winning score came with 11:00 minutes remaining when Bowen placed the ball and kicked a penalty earning the Classic Lions a spot in the final.

Plate Semi-Final: Classic France 24 – Classic Canada 0
The Classic France took on Classic Canada in the Plate Semi-Final opener.
France got two tries from Parick Caumont, to go along with single tries from Elvis Vermelen and Thomas Raifaste as they defeated Canada 24 – 0. Sebastian Bozzi kicked two conversions.
