Thomas Cook Flight Diverts For Sick Passenger
[Updated] A Thomas Cook flight which departed from the Frank País Airport in Holguín, Cuba diverted to the island tonight [Dec 21] after a passenger on board took ill.
Thomas Cook Flight #245 was travelling to Manchester, England when it changed course for Bermuda, landing at the LF Wade International Airport at approximately 8.45pm.
The plane was met at the terminal by the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, the Bermuda Police Service and an ambulance. The sick passenger was disembarked and transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. The plane took on fuel and is expected to depart for England tonight.
Update 11.53pm: Thomas Cook Flight #245 continued on its journey to Manchester, England departing Bermuda at 11.50pm.
