WOW, Whats going on in Bermuda?
You mean to tell me an “unknown” intruder just breaks into someone’s house? What if the victim was packing some serious heat?

“The suspect is described as yellow skinned male…”

Update: Police have detained the suspect, named locally as ‘Side Show Bob’, from the popular cartoon, The Simpsons.

lol they’d be better off just saying ‘yella’.

    • Toodle-oo says:

I’m presuming that you’re just trying to be funny and not totally naive because if you’ve lived here long enough and have enough black friends you’d be well aware of what Bermudians refer to as ‘the 7 categories of black’ in Bermuda .

‘Yellow skinned’ is a legitimate description of complexion , and we all know what it means and looks like .

      • Jus' Wonderin' says:

        What are they 7 categories?

        • Toodle-oo says:

Always glad to enlighten when I can.

As explained to me on 3 different occasions by black Bermudians. It was done with 100% sincerity and a subtle touch of humor .
In retrospect it might have been ’8′ not 7 .

          In Bermudian vernacular .

High yella , yella , light brown , brown , dark brown , pretty black , black and — black .

Now , before you all get bent out of shape I have heard all of the above terms used in conversations with blacks to pinpoint another person’s skin tone .

It must take some serious anger to trust a blade into the body of another person. There’s a lot of focus on gun crime but the same focus should be given to bladed article crime.

Then I ponder as to what did the victim do to prompt such a grevious act from the assailant…I really don’t think guys are just rollin’ up on random people for no reason…unless…We have “hired hands” out there roaming around among us…I guess somebody knows…oh well.

      • young generation says:

Did you even sit and think that it may have been a home invasion…Noooo you’re a typical Bermudian that jumps to the conclusion that some form of drama must have been involved..

        • Keepin' it Real!...4Real! says:

Well I sat and thought about your comment and came to the conclusion that you sound like a young female relative…am I wrong ??

          • young generation says:

Indeed you are..great job at trying to think though! 2 points for you

A few days ago, a woman was attacked by a woman culprit with a baseball bat. Years ago, it was usually men. Violence is not specific to one area of the Island, folks want revenge or seek to rob some-one. Its quite difficult for the authorities to han dle since they are responding to these incidents after they hap pen, on the other hand more can be said in the way of an appeal by the leaders of this country to suggest alternative methods in resolving disputes.
