Photos: ‘Prinsendam’ Cruise Ship Visits Hamilton
Bermuda welcomed the cruise ship ”Prinsendam” today [May 20], with the 674-foot long vessel docking in Hamilton, carrying approximately 787 passengers and 443 crew.
The Holland America Line website says of the ship, “Designed to explore the remote corners of the world in elegance and style, ms Prinsendam is our most intimate ship. Accommodating just 835 passengers, she gives guests the feel of a classic yacht with the spaciousness of a cruise ship.
“Prinsendam offers many cozy areas in which to find your favorite spot, most of her staterooms feature commanding ocean views and many have private verandahs.”
Didnt all these “small” cruise ships disappear after Heritage Wharf in Dockyard was built??
They are few and far between. Countries are fighting to attract them, and Bermud appears to be faring well.
The tide is turning.
Business in Hamilton did better back then, now Government only helps the West end to profit from it, I work in Hamilton and we had a drop in our sales, it seems that the shop at the heritage warf profits a lot from the ship docked there. Now they are opening more in the ocean for bigger ships.
Another one of Dreb’s “sorry we had to lie to you” deals.
The lies, don’t forget we’re from the former Gov’t.
Our favourite ship. Ideal for Bermuda, and those on board will certainly be talking to their friends about the convenience of docking in Hamilton.
