Immigration Forum On Mixed Status Families

September 29, 2016

The Consultative Immigration Reform Working Group said they would like to thank all those who attended last night’s information session, and also said that there will be follow up sessions to further discuss the information presented last night and to form a consensus on the recommendation to the Government.

These follow up sessions will take place:

  • Tuesday, October 11th at Francis Patton
  • Wednesday, October 12th at The Berkeley Institute
  • Thursday, October 13th at Dalton E. Tucker
  • All meetings will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm.

Chairman of the Group Mr. William Madeiros said, “The meeting last night was well attended and the input from the public is invaluable as the Group moves forward to formulate a recommendation.”

“I would like to take this time to thank my fellow Group members for the tremendous effort they have put forth over the last six months. Everyone has taken time away from their families and other commitments in order to ensure we do what is best for Bermuda.”

The group said, “The Submissions to the Consultative Immigration Reform Working Group can be made via our dropbox located on the ground floor of the Government Administration Building on Parliament Street, by calling us on 500- 4664 or send us an email to immigrationbda@gmail.com

“The Group will be working to formulate their recommendation on mixed status families after public consultation.”
