Photos & Video: “Small World, Small Islands”

[Updated with video] Showers passing over the island this afternoon [Sept 18] did not prevent the “Small World, Small Islands” Cultural Festival from taking place, with the event held in Victoria Park this afternoon, featuring vendors and entertainment designed to highlight cultures.

Entertainment scheduled to perform included the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band Dancers, music and dance by the Filipino Association of Bermuda, “Anansi Tales” storytelling by Shurnett Caines, bachata and salsa by Bermuda Latin Vibes, poetry by Andrea Ottley, H&H Gombeys, and the Simons Brothers Band. Food was on sale by the Portuguese Bakery, and there was a display by Amigos da Casa dos Açores da Bermuda, and the Bermuda Library were on hand with books available.
