Video: Pro Surfer JJ Florence Visits Bermuda
Professional surfer John John [JJ] Florence paid a visit to Bermuda in order to spend time with Oracle Team USA as they trained for the America’s Cup, saying afterward that “it’s insane to see the commitment of everyone on that team to want to win.”
Florence, a native of Hawaii, is the 2016 World Surfing League champion. His trip to Bermuda was featured in an episode of his web series “Twelve,” highlighting his time on the island and his experience working alongside the members of Oracle Team USA.
During the episode, the surfer said of his visit with Oracle Team USA, “To get down there and see how they train and how their program works was so cool for me.
“Seeing these guys and how they better themselves in every little thing every day got me more amped up to go back home and compete some more.
“It’s insane to see the commitment of everyone on that team to want to win. It made me more psyched up for next year; what can I do to better myself?”
