The ladies of the Kardias Club hosted their annual ‘Tea with a Twist’ at the Fairmont Southampton on Saturday [April 1], with the women in attendance dressed festively in hats and gloves to enjoy high tea and an afternoon of fashion, musical entertainment and fellowship – while also raising money for charity.

This year’s event is raising funds for the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy, and Vice President of Kardias Club Sandra Scott stated, “This year we have a specific agenda to focus on organizations that support mentally and physically disabled children in Bermuda.

“The Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy was an ideal fit and we are delighted to support the incredible work they do. I’d like thank all of the companies and individuals who have generously offered their services and time.”

The Kardias Club has been supporting the community since its inception in 1964, donating half a million dollars to various philanthropic causes including The Family Centre, PRIDE, Tomorrow’s Voices and more.
