Police Confirm Death Of Dejon Simmons
Police have confirmed the death of 30-year-old Dejon Simmons, who was seriously injured in an “altercation with another man” on Front Street at around 3:15am on Sunday.
Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood said, “Sadly, the Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 30-year-old Dejon Simmons and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

“Mr. Simmons was seriously injured in an altercation with another man on Front Street around 3:15am Sunday, March 18th.
“He was rushed via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he remained in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit until his death this morning.
“An overseas forensic pathologist is currently in Bermuda and will perform an autopsy.
“A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with this matter. However since which, he has been released on police bail.
“Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses who were in the Front Street area near Cosmopolitan Nightclub at the time of the altercation to come forward.
“We are especially interested in anyone who may have images or video footage of the incident.
