Photos: Marriage Week Proclamation Held
Earlier this week, Premier David Burt kicked off the celebration of International Marriage Week — which runs from February 7th to 14th — with a proclamation reading on the steps of the Cabinet Building.
The annual event is organized by Allan and Mildred Hunt, the founders of Heart-To-Heart Marriage Mentoring Ministries.
Is “Marriage week” for everyone or only for those people the Government approves of?
And the answer is for only the Government approves off!!!!!! SO SAD!!!!

I’ve zero issue with marriage, I am happily married but this is like some antequated nod to the 70s, a bygone age of 2.4 children and meat and potatoes.

Well considering you’re not married, I think you answered your own question.
SAME SEX MARRIAGE is now legal in Bermuda. The Government lost 3 court cases. Yet, Mr. Burt is pressing on with a legal challenge at the Privy Council. He forgets that many, rightfully, fought hard against discrimination in the past.
Mr. Burt and his government will lose a 4th court case, and indeed will be remembered as the Premier who legislated against gay people. PLP Legislation that was ruled unconstitutional. Any Premier that discriminates against any minority in the 21st century is not worthy of the office.

Is there even such a thing? I could not find any information about international marriage week. Perhaps he means National Marriage Week? Does he know the difference?
I would like a week where the government celebrates the idea of treating everybody equally under the Constitution.
Burt doesn’t seem to think that applies to him though.
