ICC Men’s T20 Moved To White Hill Field
Remaining action in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Final has been moved to White Hill Field after previously taking place between that venue and the National Sports Centre.
A spokesperson said, “ICC Americas Finance and Operations Officer, Andrea Hufferd, has mandated a change of venue for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Final 2019.
“The tournament has been taking place on island between the National Sports Centre and White Hill Field between August 18-25.
“All remaining matches as of Thursday, August 22 will be played at White Hill Field, following the same time schedule.”
Ms. Hufferd said, “After seeing the conditions of the pitch on August 19th, we feel the pitch is unsuitable for international play. This is a World Cup Qualifying event and as such the integrity of the surfaces need to be at a standard which is fair for all.
“The management and ground staff at Somerset Bridge Recreation Club/White Hill Field have indicated that they can accommodate our request and are more than willing to assist with the logistics to get the venue up and ready.”
Wow all that money at National Sports field and it’s not even good enough for carrots. Thank you Pee El Pee.
